"You're our Plant Lady, what are you going to do about Christmas?"

This is the question that started it all back in Reno Nevada in 1979.  Hotels and casinos began asking her to provide Christmas décor.   Pamela, a working mom, and her staff on ladders in the middle of the night in a busy casino over a 21 table was not a pretty sight I can tell you!

"Clients pay a fortune just for a decorated tree, winter scene, or a few wreaths outside their building. I am still amazed after all these years, what clients will pay for someone else to take care of their Christmas needs."

I want you to visualize what this Christmas franchise feels like, as I think back all these years later.

It’s downtown, middle of the night; our delivery trucks parked at most every tall building up and down the street. No other cars around, red & white Christmas hats bobbing, bells tied to their shoes jingling, decorations pouring out of trucks. The security guards have the doors propped open, while drinking coffee, watching Christmas goodies fall into the building. Christmas music starts along with my coffee pot; good coffee is a must, know what I mean? And then the magic begins….

Fresh trees delivered the day earlier, fluffed & ready.  College boys get ladders from the maintenance closets; soon the trees are a blaze.  About 2 in the morning we congregate in the middle of the street, hot pizza delivered, brag on how has the best tree. Nat King Cole is singing, we’re tired, happy; trees are done, we choose a winner, return to our staging area, & prepare for tomorrow. Now some more magic begins, and I feel good inside as I write this to you now.

It’s the middle of the night; we’re cold, tired, but no one wants to leave. We have become a family. They ask what job is next, what part they play, plan the pizza order, and smile some more. They feel good about themselves and what they have accomplished! They had no idea they were so talented! They decide right them to take photos so they can remember it forever….

"The money is amazing, but the work is the gift. There is a fortune to be made in less than 6 weeks; it’s so much fun!"

Several hundred thousand dollars per season later, we sold, and now teach you guys exactly how we did it. It's a fast paced crazy time of year, you must be able to think on your feet, and laugh at yourself.

"Clients would prefer to "Rent Christmas" for $5000.00 than buy it for $6000.00."
